Ebbs and tides

There was a time when few events happen in the lifestyle. Public venues were closed to such things except the seediest bars in the dankest part of town. A friend of a friend of a friend would hint that if you went after midnight and said esclavin a door would open for you . That is how the lifestyle was when I first entered it . A seedy street you would not choose to walk on in the sunlight. Now a private club was so much better as at least you knew who ran it and you had to be invited no invitation no entry. still no a private party . A private party well you new where they lived you knew them. It was a great honor to be invited. House protocols were learned in advance the best leathers you had the best toys were brought.

These people were truly the pioneers in the lifestyle. They open their houses to like minded individuals. They trusted others not for a dollar in profit but from profiting from friendship and knowledge passed on through friendships.

Sadly we seem to have forgotten about the origins and look to events and public clubs for our thrills and hopes. I would question some one offering me advice on my session who I had just seen five minutes ago yelling at the coat check girl. Sadly like the song Puff the magic Dragon we have put away the Dragons of the early part of the lifestyle and replace them with the shinny new bling. Too bad there is still a lot of magic in the old ways.
